I am quite pleased with this character I came up with at work today. The thought process started from wanting to revamp batman much like has been doing, but wanted to do something that was close to my heart. As some of you know, I love the zany silver age batman the best and the world in it. To quote Bully's Comic Blog, "Comics ought to be fun!" So i thought about what makes batman fun and found i really enjoy his adventuring and detectiving the best. And in the silver age, he went through time and space in search of adventure. So i thought of turning him into a playboy-adventurer of the 30's and 40's, mixin' howard hughes with indiana jones with the zany villains of the batman mythos.

and then i thought, wait, why should i give this cool archetype over to batman, he's so overdone with revamps, why don't i give this to someone else. Thus i created a character called, The Ermine: Aviator Adventurer Extrordinaire. And his world isn't the 40's but more of a mixed up world with different characters and famous people from different timeperiods. Like in his first adventure i have him scripted to confront Robo-Hiter, Der Fuhrer-Bot and take orders from President Andrew Jackson. And possibly a guest apperance of Jack Kirby.

And he does this all with a plucky smile! I hope you like him, i think it's excellently drawn without any pencilling before hand. Not to sound braggart, BUT it is nice when drawings come together perfectly sometimes.
